Kohala Project Progress
LOI was issued by PPIB in 2009
- In October 16 2008 WAPDA and CWE signed memorandum of understandingon the Kohala hydropower station project cooperation in Beijing(MOU)
- PPIB issue a letter of interest to CWE in January 15¸ 2009 (LOI)
Feasibility Research Report was approved by PPIB in 2011
- In April 2010¸ CWE updated project feasibility report:
- In July 19¸ 2011 the PPIB approved the updated version of the Feasibility Research Report:
Tariff of feasibility study stage approved by NEPRA in 2015
- In September 17 2011 the company submitted first research stage price application to NTDC¸ application average price is 9.218 cents /kWh;
- In December 12011 the company submitted second research stage price application to NTDC¸ application average price is 8.3851 cents /kWh;
- In May 21¸ 2013 the company submitted third research stage price application to NTDC¸ application average price is 9.5501 cents /kWh;
- All studies were completed in November 2013 by BIDR;
- In April 2014 the company and NTDC reach agreement on the price ofresearch phase.In april 23¸ 2014 NTDC will price the application documents submitted to the NEPRA for approval.
- In April 9¸ 2015¸ NEPRA approved the project feasibility study stage price (7.2365 cents /kw.h)
Kohala Hydro Company (Private) was founded in 2015
- In September 2015 the company formally approved the establishment of Kohala item company;
- In September 22¸ 2015¸ Kohala Hydro Company (Private) Limited registered;
LOS was issued by PPIB in 2015
- In December 2015¸ assessment and acceptance all research projects and the overall feasibility report of the project completion of Kohala;
- On December 18¸ 2015 pass through the Three Gorges International Company《on the Pakistan Kohala hydropower station investment projects for the request》 Review；
- In December 31¸ 2015¸ PPIB issued a letter of support for the project （LOS）；
POE meeting was held in Islamabad on PPIB in 2016
- In February 18¸ 2016¸ ninth POE meeting held in Islamabad on PPIB；
- In March 24¸ 2016¸ tenth POE meeting held in Islamabad on PPIB
